One Part Masculine
To One Part Feminine
One Part Light
To One Part Dark
We asked Sarah:
“Is there ever a time natural wood wins?”
Sarah replied: “If you think about the light and the dark, the dark usually is the wood, you need something light to contrast it against, so that you see it and appreciate it. So I think I’ve sort of gained this reputation of being a wood-hater, which I’m not. If you have great wood furniture, if you put it against a wood wall, and a wood floor and wood ceiling, you can’t see it. I love a timber-framed house, but I’d fill it with white furniture. I would do something that would make it so you would see it and notice it. “
One Part Traditional
To One Part Contemporary
One Part Vintage
To One Part New
One Final Note
Perhaps something not noted in the recipe, but that is equally important to a great design, is to have fun! Just like Sarah, pictured here on set of Sarah 101 with Tommy Smythe.
