Over the years, Bryan and I have worked together to build two family homes and a family cottage, and through the process we’ve learned a lot about each other. But when I joined Bryan on our newest show, Bryan Inc. my role was completely different. This was the first time we were working on client projects together, and I got to see my husband in a totally different capacity, and boy, did I learn some interesting things about Bryan!

His Customer Service
Having been married for thirteen years there isn’t much that I don’t know about my husband, but seeing him work face-to-face with the general public was a new experience for me. His manner was impeccable and he paid close attention to everything the client said. This wasn’t surprising, but it has given me a point of reference when we have a disagreement at home.
His Attention to Detail
I am fully aware of Bryan’s meticulous approach to any project. If he’s doing it, it’s being done properly, and it was great to see that up close. It is easy to be attentive to every process of a construction project when it is your own home and money, but it was great to see that this continued when he was working for a client.
His Calmness Under Pressure
Bryan is, more often than not, the calmest person in the room, and it was great to see how he copes with jobs that aren’t going as planned outside of the home. His manner is above and beyond when it comes to working with clients and even if the situation is off the charts, he is able to keep his calm and reassure the client.
How Much He Has to Juggle
Both Bryan and I have many balls in the air and sometimes it is difficult to keep an eye on all of them. Working closely with Bryan on Bryan Inc. really showed me the amount he has to deal with at one time. He makes it look easy.
His Level of Skill and Knowledge
Again, this wasn’t a huge surprise to me, but I appreciated even more the amount of skill and knowledge he has about the construction trade. It’s important to feel proud of your partner and during the filming of Bryan Inc. I was constantly beaming with pride.
His Business Acumen
Having only previously worked with Bryan on personal jobs, I hadn’t often seen at first hand his ability to run a business. It was great to see him work practically while keeping the commercial side of things at the forefront. He takes his work very seriously and is continually attempting to make things more efficient and customer friendly. It was fascinating to watch.
His Adaptability
Obviously working with different personalities requires the ability to adapt to the situation. Bryan is more than capable of dealing with clients that require more support and guidance to those who know exactly what they want. This is a natural skill and one that I am in admiration of.
The High Expectations of His Employees
I was always mindful that working with Bryan could cause conflict between us, but it was very clear at the onset that this was going to be a team effort. However, his expectations of me and his other employees was very high. He wants the best possible team around him and doesn’t expect anything less than hard work and dedication.
His Creativity
Working on various projects requires the ability to adapt and the wherewithal to be creative when needed. Bryan is quick at coming up with solutions to issues and is always keen to listen to new ways of solving a problem.
His Different Personas
We all have different personas. We are different at work than we are at home, that’s just how it is. I know the majority of Bryan’s personas. I know the husband, the father, the worker, the joker, but I hadn’t seen the business man on very many occasions. It was a pleasure to see him working with colleagues and clients.
Not everyone gets the chance to work alongside their partner, and some would like to keep it that way. But I have enjoyed every minute of working with mine. Bryan is an amazing man and I appreciate all that he does for me and our family. Thank you, Bryan!
