Donald Trump’s Childhood Home Can Be Rented on Airbnb

The brick-and-stucco Tudor-style home was built in 1940 by Fred Trump, featuring five bedrooms and 4.5 baths, situated on a corner lot in Jamaica Estates, Queens. It can currently be rented (it supposedly sleeps 20!) via Airbnb, with these photos coming from the listing when it was on the market before being sold to the current owner.

Before the home was sold, its previous owners had been trying to sell since July 2016, when it hit the market with an asking price of $1.65 million.

When you factor in the double-car detached garage and the five-car driveway, there’s plenty of parking to be had.

The home’s living room looks somewhat dated, but features the original hardwood floors and fireplace. While Trump’s childhood home isn’t nearly as glitzy as what we usually associate with the Trump brand, Jamaica Estates is an upscale area. “It’s a beautiful neighbourhood, nice, quiet, no crime, very manicured,” Trump once said of Jamaica Estates. “It’s like living upstate but being in the city.”

When the home was on the market, the realtor declared “it’s probably the least expensive Tudor in Jamaica Estates now.”

Could this have been Donald Trump’s childhood bedroom? In any case, it’s likely that the home (as is typical in houses of that era) wasn’t built with a lot of closet space, as evidenced by the large wardrobe that looms over the room like a giant, dark monolith.
