Peek Inside the ‘Survival Condos’ Wealthy People Are Buying Amid Coronavirus Fears

While many people stockpile essentials such as non-perishable foods and water (and toilet paper, apparently), the wealthy one per cent are setting their sights on “survival” real estate amidst the coronavirus panic. In particular, they’re looking to Survival Condo, a multi-storey underground former Cold War-era missile silo in Kansas that is now selling units as part of its luxury complex. The condos, which were designed by developer Larry Hall to house 75 people for more than five years, are available to purchase starting at $1.5 million (USD). From spa-like swimming pools and recreational rooms to open-concept living arrangements and high-end security, take a peek inside this piece of survival real estate.
