Step Four:  Cut a 17 inch strand of yarn and tape the edges to your work surface. Since the diameter of the wooden round is 15 inches, a 1 inch strand allots for 1 inch on either side to tape it to your work surface.

Step Five: Cut 50-60 pieces of yarn at about 32 inches, and begin tying them to the 17 inch strand using a lark’s head knot. If you’re using multiple colours of yarn, be sure to count before switching colours so your final design is even.
