Step 1: Prepare the Pipe Cleaners
Start by cutting the pipe cleaners into approximately 1-inch pieces using your scissors. Bend each piece in its centre to create a “leaf” shape. Do this to all of the colours: the white, sparkly pink and sparkly white pieces in order to prep your trees.
Step 2: Let’s Start Gluing
Start attaching the pipe cleaner leaves at the base of the cone using your hot glue gun — add a line of glue around the bottom edge of the cardboard cone. Attach each pipe cleaner leaf to the glued line carefully, one by one, alternating colours as you go. We mixed the white and sparkly white together. Repeat the process by adding a line of hot glue and then attaching the pipe cleaner leaves, working your way up the cone.
Tip: Ensure the leaves slightly overlap to create a fuller, layered look.
Step 3: Finish With a Sparkly Touch
Lastly, for a fun finishing touch, glue a sparkly pink pipe cleaner to the very top of the tree. This will make your pipe cleaner trees really stand out!
