Step 1: Create Your Velvet Bows

Let’s start our bow wreath by making each bow using two chopsticks. Tape them parallel to a table, leaving about 2 to 3 inches of space between them. This will be your very own bow-making station.

Next, cut a piece of velvet ribbon with your scissors and wrap the ribbon around the chopsticks in a figure-eight motion twice, ensuring both loops are even and the velvet is facing out.

Wrap and tie it tightly, ensuring both loops are even and the bow is secure. Fluff the bow for a perfect shape and repeat this process until you have enough bows to decorate your wreath.

Step 2: Attach Bows to the Wreath

Lay your wreath flat on a work surface and attach each velvet bow evenly on one side using a hot glue gun. Mixing bow colours and sizes will create a dynamic and modern look. Add pressure to the bows and then let the glue dry completely.

For a real ‘wow’ factor, place a pre-lit gingerbread wooden house on the opposite side of the bows and secure it by adding hot glue to the back of the house. Then, light it up for the perfect finishing touch.
