The word luxe means something different to everyone, we all have different tastes after all. This is one of the reasons working in design can be so challenging. Having to understand peoples’ tastes, often when they aren’t sure how to describe them, is no small feat. So when a client with a large family wants to build a dreamy island cottage from scratch, Ali and her team know just what to do.

Opulent Escape
Designing and building a multi-million-dollar cottage is no easy task, even less so on an island. Not only does a project like this require tremendous effort, but builders have a limited window to work in. Barging in tools, supplies, and even workers is expensive and time consuming. Despite all of that, Ali was determined to create a space her clients would be wowed by while also feeling at ease. To do so, she used the lush natural lighting to highlight stunning feature pieces while leaving room for all the creature comforts.

Ain’t It Grand
They say delusions of grandeur are only delusions if you don’t follow through. Well, the ABI team certainly followed through. All the pieces in the common areas were meant to feel oversized, chunky, and sturdy. The purpose of this was to give the pieces within the home a feeling of quality and permanence. The result was a space that felt safe, comfortable, and unwavering.
