Hack #1: Storing Wrapping Paper & Accessories
Wrapping paper rolls can accumulate year after year. Find an all-purpose storage bag to tuck away all your wrapping paper rolls. You can easily figure out what you may need to replenish and avoid buying too much. Built-in clear storage pockets are perfect to stack and store away gift bags. This will ensure they don’t wrinkle and fold and eventually become unusable. This is a great area to also put away other wrapping accessories such as gift tags and wrapping bows. Small gift boxes are also great to keep rolls of ribbons and wrapping stickers intact.
DIY alternative: An old laundry hamper is a great free alternative for keeping unruly wrapping paper rolls in order. A magazine or file folder organizer is also great for sorting new and used gift bags.

Hack #2: Storing Ornaments
One of the best solutions to categorize and protect ornaments from getting tangled or damaged is storing them in an ornament organizer box. You can find many options that are foldable and equipped with stackable compartments to safely place each ornament away after the holiday season is complete.
DIY alternative: You can create the same storage solution by using an old sturdy shipping box and creating dividers with cardboard (or head to your local liquor store for a box with existing dividers that’s free!). Egg cartons and even cardboard takeout drink containers are fabulous DIY options for ornaments and holiday trinkets as well. Simply line them with crinkle paper and you’re all set to store them away safely.

Hack #3: Storing Garlands and Wreaths
Garlands and wreaths often lose their shape over the years when they’re stored in bins and boxes. Try a storage bag that can be hung in a closet or over a door to maximize the shelf life of these decorative items. A transparent option is ideal so you know exactly what’s being stored in them.
DIY alternative: Old garment bags you have lying around the house can also double as this type of storage. Or, for a true DIY alternative, a simple coat hanger and a large garbage bag will also do the trick!
