It looks like Queen Bey (and Jay-Z) have a new hive. The multiple-Grammy winning and “Crazy in Love” couple just broke the record for purchasing the most expensive home in California’s history for a show-stopping $200 million.
The 30,000-square-foot property is located in the desirable town of Malibu. Reportedly, renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando designed the home that took over a decade to complete.
The modern, minimalist mansion was originally listed for $295 million and was previously owned by Los Angeles art collector Bill Bell Jr., whose father created the iconic The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful soap operas.

Details of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s Home
The striking concrete home has an expansive lawn and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The house spans nearly eight acres with an infinity pool, stunning ocean views and a private beach. Additionally, there are Zen garden features which are probably one of the best features of the home that’s both simple and tranquil.
The Malibu estate was listed privately, so the details of how many rooms the home has is a mystery. We imagine the inside has plenty of luxurious, modern Carters-approved amenities for the famous family to enjoy.
According to Forbes, more than 22,500 square feet of polished pervious concrete was used for the property’s driveway and motor courts. Roughly around 7,645 cubic yards of concrete were used for the contemporary home itself. It’s no wonder this home is the most expensive property in the area.
