Bryan Baeumler Just Helped Launch an App to Solve Your Most Common Home Repair Dilemmas

In a perfect world, we’d have a trusted expert like Bryan Baeumler on speed dial to tackle all those home repairs we’re not comfortable doing ourselves (from fixing our dishwasher to refurbishing our deck to updating electrical).

While we’ve accepted this is not realistic – Bryan currently lives in the Bahamas, after all! – the HGTV Canada host has teamed up with HeyBryan Media Inc. to help push forward the next best thing: HeyBryan, an innovative home service app that connects customers with vetted, qualified professionals to provide a wide-range of handyman services.

“People want fast, easy access to service providers who they can trust,” says Bryan. “But it’s not always easy to get a well-rated and established company to respond to requests for small tasks around the house.”

HeyBryan offers homeowners a platform to meet these needs, where users can view the service professional’s ratings based on previous jobs they’ve completed in order to make more informed decisions about who they choose to hire. And don’t worry, there’s no job too small – you can quickly contact experts via the app for help painting a room, assembling furniture and other minor fixes.

“I get thousands of emails every week, and the vast majority start with ‘Hey Bryan, I need a…’ or ‘Hey Bryan, where can I find a…’ so this app is really an opportunity to answer those questions for homeowners, and get feedback on their experiences,” says Bryan. “It takes the guesswork out of connecting with the right people for the job.”

The new app also gives service providers the ability to set their own rates and decide when and where they want to work. The online rating system helps set them apart from other tradespeople and offers more credibility.

“The true value of a home rests in its efficiency, longevity and ability to provide us with a comfortable and healthy environment,” says Bryan. “As homeowners become more and more educated about (typically) the largest investment they’ll ever make, home maintenance becomes more of a priority.”

HeyBryan is currently available in British Columbia, but will make its way to Toronto in early 2019 and will continue to expand its reach in the year ahead.
