Roll out the red carpet because HGTV Canada’s blockbuster hit show, Celebrity IOU, is back for a second season on Monday, December 14 at 10PM e/p. The Property Brothers, HGTV Canada’s famous renovator twins, team up with Hollywood A-listers including Zooey Deschanel, Justin Hartley, Allison Janney and Rainn Wilson to help these celebrities give back to the people who have made a positive impact on their lives. This season, Drew and Jonathan will meet each celebrity at the renovation recipients’ home, ready to work together to create beautiful, customized spaces that reward mentors, friends and family members.
The premiere of season 2 will showcase award-winning actress, producer and singer-songwriter Zooey Deschanel as she teams up with the Property Brothers in reimagining a small home using an open-concept floorplan for her lifelong friend Sarah, a therapist and mom of two, who always puts others before herself.
“Sarah and I met before the first day of Kindergarten, because we were going to be in a carpool together,” said Zooey. “From day one, everything Sarah did I thought was just the best.”
Other home transformations to look forward to this season include turning a drab backyard into a luxurious outdoor oasis and renovating a cramped galley kitchen into a dream space for cooking and entertaining.
Last season of Celebrity IOU featured big-name stars including Brad Pitt, Viola Davis and Michael Buble. The renovations were simply jaw-dropping.
