Valentine's Day Sand Art Cards with Supplies

Instructions:

Step One:  Draw and cut out a heart from a sheet of cardstock. We went with a cheery pink cardstock in our version.

Step Two: Add removable alphabet stickers to spell out a Valentine message. We recommend going with a simple, short message, a la candy hearts. Test on a scrap piece of cardstock to ensure the stickers can easily and neatly peel off the paper.

Step Three: Using a small paintbrush, add Mod Podge onto the card around the letters. Don’t be heavy-handed with this step. A little Mod Podge goes a long way! Too much glue may make your cardstock soggy and harder to work with.

Step Four: Over the Mod Podge, sprinkle on some coloured sand. Press the sand down gently, and then shake off the excess. Repeat until the card is covered with sand. We recommend doing this step over a large piece of cardstock, paper or newspaper to keep things tidy.
