They say Rome wasn’t built in a day, but this spooky village was! With the simple use of bird boxes, paint and a few spiders, we were able to take Halloween home decor to the next level. This spooky village is a fun way to get creative with the entire family, maybe even making the neighbours jealous. Halloween is all about fun and creative expression, and we think of no better way to do that than this eclectic DIY project.

Materials:
- 4-8 Wooden birdhouses
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brushes
- Utility knife
- Basswood
- Wood glue
- Bottle brush trees
- Black spray paint
- Wooden mini Halloween appliques
- Decorative mini pumpkins
- Plastic mini spiders

Instructions:
Step One: Gather a collection of 4-8 wooden birdhouses that look slightly different from each other.
Step Two: With a utility knife and basswood, you can create doors, windows, eavestroughs, etc. to make basic wooden birdhouses look more like houses. Attach these items to the birdhouses using wood glue.
Step Three: Use acrylic paint to paint the houses in varying Halloween-themed colours.

Step Four: Add wooden Halloween-themed appliques to the houses, including bats, spiders, and cats.
Step Five: Spray paint bottle brush trees black.
Step Six: Arrange the houses in a row, with fun decorative elements interspersed between them. Including the bottle brush trees, decorative mini pumpkins, plastic mini spiders, and more!
