- Pencil
- Square
- Clamps

Step One: Measuring
Start off by deciding how many cones you want to hold based on the size of your wood serving tray. Using a pencil, square and measuring tape, we marked six holes of half an inch each.

Step Two: Drilling
Secondly, let’s jump into drilling our six cone holes using a half-inch spade bit. Clamp down the wood board to keep it from moving while you drill.
Step Three: Sanding
As soon as you drill all the holes, sand the interior and around the board as much as required. Wipe away any dust with a clean cloth.

Step Four: Painting
Finally, it’s time to decorate your new ice cream serving tray. We opted to decorate our tray with a single stripe. If you want to follow our stripe design, use painter’s tape and your favourite paint colour. Let it dry to touch for a couple of minutes, and remove the tape for the big reveal.
