We’ve already compiled our favourite bedroom and kitchen renovations of 2019, and now we’re ready to tackle those tricky bathrooms. If you’re heading into 2020 with visions of home renos racing through your mind, you just might find all the inspiration you could possibly need with these stunning bathroom overhauls from all your favourite HGTV shows. From Rock the Block and Save My Reno to Property Brothers and Sarah Off the Grid, we’ve compiled the best of the best in bathroom renovations.
Fade to Black
In Home to Win: For the Holidays, HGTV experts Mia Parres and Sherry Holmes wowed us when they converted this second-floor bedroom into a full-sized bathroom. The show-stopping classic clawfoot bathtub with an industrial-inspired waterfall shower and matte hexagon tiles on the floor give off some serious European vibes. Take the full tour of the renovated Victorian home.
Spa Retreat
This stunning master bathroom featured on Sarah Off the Grid includes a luxurious soaker tub and walk-in shower for optimal spa-level relaxation. The non-linear floor tile pattern lends an additional level of calm. Want to see more? Take a peek inside Sarah Richardson’s rental home.
Vintage Vibes
stars Drew and Jonathan Scott completely gutted this master bathroom, transforming it into an ultra-modern space with black high-end fixtures and an egg-shaped freestanding tub we want to tip our toes in. The floating wood shelves and sand-coloured floor tiles add to the soothing and organic feel. We can’t get enough of the southwestern vintage vibes in this Property Brothers renovation.
A Winning Combo
Thirty thousand dollars – that’s the budget the Save My Reno team had to work with for this ensuite master bathroom. Striking the perfect balance between masculine and feminine design details, we’re obsessed with stunning combo of dusty rose cabinetry and matte black fixtures. Trust us: you’ll be shocked to see what this spa-like bathroom looked like before the renovation.
Kick Back and Relax
In Rock the Block, Mina Starsiak added a herringbone pattern during her master bathroom reno (FYI, herringbone happens to be a major home trend prediction for 2020). The freestanding tub and custom shower complete the transformation into a luxurious spa-like retreat. Check out more before and after photos from Rock the Block.
Sleek and Chic
We understand: not everyone has the luxury of an over-sized bathroom they can freely renovate to their heart’s content, but it’s entirely possible to make the best of any situation – as demonstrated by this tiny, but sleek, space from Love it Or List it Vancouver. Find more inspiration with these genius small bathroom design ideas.
Super-Size Me
We’re loving the polished chrome hardware in this sleek, but classic, bathroom renovation from Island of Bryan. The super-sized space offers a private enclosed alcove for a water closet and a shower area that has more than enough room for two people. Find out more about how the Baeumler’s have transformed their Bahamian resort.
Floating Away
By installing a white floating vanity in one of the bathrooms of the Victorian heritage home featured on Home to Win: For the Holidays, Michael Holmes and Jo Alcorn maximized the square footage of this small space by adding wall shelves that provide plenty of storage without taking up precious floor space.
A Real Winner
Spoiler alert! Rock the Block‘s Leanne Ford won the design challenge the week she revealed this gorgeous bathroom renovation. We love a good minimalist design and this reno checks off all the right boxes, from the freestanding tub to the light fixtures. Check out more before and after photos from Rock the Block‘s superstar transformations.
A Very Kitschy Bathroom
Yes, the home is a little outdated, but you can’t deny how fun it was to travel back to the 1970s with A Very Brady Renovation, specifically when it came to recreating this bold, kitschy ensuite master bathroom – complete with working toilet (unlike the faux bathrooms on the TV sitcom). Find more pictures of the real Brady Bunch house renovation.
