Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were one of country music’s most successful couples until their split last year. When the dust settled, Lambert was left with the Nashville-area mansion they once shared, and she’s ready to move on and part with this 11,000-square-foot, five-bedroom estate. By Brent Furdyk
Nashville Splendour
Country music sensation Miranda Lambert is selling the 11,000-square-foot Tennessee home she once shared with ex-husband (and fellow country star) Blake Shelton. Lambert walked away with the impressive property after the couple split last year, and she’s now ready to party ways with this one-acre, five-bedroom, eight-bath estate – for an asking price of $2.6 million.
Trio of Doors
The striking residence is situated in the gated community of Governors Club, in Brentwood, Tennessee, just 20 miles south of Nashville. Three French doors, inset behind a dual-level columned porch and terrace, lead into the home’s stunning foyer and lavish living room.
High Times
Double-height vaulted ceilings and an immense wall of windows make this formal living room bright and spacious. The extra high-gloss floors and the stunning mirrored-mantel floor-to-ceiling fireplace are add to this room’s chic appearance.
Sit and Enjoy
Extra seating looks onto the wood-laden kitchen where guests can sip some fine Tennesee whiskey while the host prepares a delicious meal. The space also offers an excellent view of the plush green backyard.
Timberrr!
Wall-to-wall wood in this kitchen serves up rustic appeal. This storage-filled, lumber-laden space has wooden cabinets, golden hardwood floors and a wood island, and is the perfect setting to whip up some good old-fashioned country-style home cooking.
Easy Entertaining
To make things a little less formal when entertaining, this smaller casual dining nook, which adjoins the country-style kitchen, is a great place to keep it simple.
Hot n’ Cold
Lambert’s stately crib is kept toasty warm on those cool Nashville nights (the temp can get down to -12 C, believe it or not!) by four fireplaces found throughout the home. The decorative one pictured here is nestled between built-in shelving and is located in the sitting area opposite the kitchen.
Fine Dining
There is one offer to purchase currently pending. If the would-be homebuyer is lucky, the prospective buyer may get the chance to sit at this very table and finalize the deal. The dining room seen here is formal and stylish with its lavish chandelier, dark high-polished floors and large windows.
Opulent Hallway
The over-the-top hallway that opens to the dining room features elaborate molding and arched doorways.
Stepping Up
The spectacular spiral staircase is rich and rustic – a real architectural delight!
Massive Master
This massive master bedroom is super spacious, boasting a gorgeous vaulted ceiling and a line of floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light. Opposite the bed is an octagonal-shaped sitting room.
Sit in Style
Lambert and Shelton purchased the property in July 2013 for just under $2.26 million. Nice little additions like this sitting area – located in the master suite, featuring stark cabinetry, a fireplace and morning bar – make it worth the price.
Big Splash
The oversized master bathroom is big enough to host the Grand Ol Opry and mixes dark walls with light tiling. There’s a ton of counter space too, with his-and-hers sinks and an enormous jacuzzi tub.
Play Around
After a rough day in the recording studio, this huge basement recreation room is the perfect place to unwind. Festooned with wood, it features a billiards table, kitchenette and an adjoining home theatre.
Movie Time
No celebrity mansion would be complete without a private theatre, and this one features state-of the-art equipment and ultra-comfy brown leather recliner chairs.
Lavish Library
No palatial estate would be complete without a traditional, double-height library and second-floor gallery. The rich wood walls and fireplace offer a warm relaxing atmosphere to read a book or write a hit song.
Backyard Bliss
The lovely T-shaped pool provides a well-deserved reprieve for anyone suffering through one of those sweltering Tennessee summer days. The backyard also offers a large terrace and there’s even a grilling station in the back for a Southern-style BBQ.
On the Links
The sprawling homestead backs onto the 15th green of an Arnold Palmer Signature private golf course. But there’s no need to worry about gawking golfers as the wall of thick, lush trees and foliage keep the home hidden from view.
