Materials Required:
- Cordless circular saw
- Wood leftovers
- Construction glue
- Square ruler
- 4 glass blocks
- Pencil
- Measuring tape
Step 1: Measure Your Bench
First, gather your wood leftovers and ensure they are clean. Grab a measuring tape and a pencil and mark the desired length of your bench — we marked two wood pieces at 32 inches long each.
Pro tip: Use a square ruler to rectify your cut lines so they’re perfectly straight.

Step 2: Cut Your Wood
With a circular saw, follow the cut line marked and make two wood pieces that are the same size. If the edges feel rough, use 100 grit sand paper to remove any imperfections.
Step 3: Attach the Glass Blocks
Now’s the fun part! Add construction glue evenly along the borders of the glass block pieces, leaving one inch from the border where they will be placed. Then, carefully apply pressure onto the wood ensuring the glass blocks are evenly aligned on both ends.
Repeat the same process adding the next wood shelf on top of the glass block and apply pressure to stick them together.
Step 4: Let It All Set
Finish it off by attaching the last two glass blocks that will serve as the legs of your future outdoor bench. Now, let it set and allow the construction glue to dry completely for about 24 hours in a dry place.
