Revisit all of Pinterest’s 2020 home decor predictions.
Cloffices
Due to expanding work-from-home policies, people are spending more time at home than ever before. Which would go a long way toward explaining why a certain tongue-in-cheek term is popping up on Pinterest. “Cloffices” are exactly what it sounds like – an office in a tiny closet – and it has doubled in searches since this time last year. Find more ways to make any room double as an office (yes, even the bathroom) or peep this small but mighty “cloffice.”
LED Lights
This one’s a biggie with the Gen Z crowd: neon rooms – which has been searched eight times more than it was around this time in 2020. But it doesn’t stop there – kids these days are all about vibey lights, hence the surge in searches for such terms as “mirrors with LED lights” (doubled since last year) and “LED signs” (tripled in searches). Deep Soaking Tubs
Since we’ve all spent a lot more time at home than usual these last few months, it’s not surprising that renovation ideas are percolating in our minds. The zen-inspired feature is up by a whopping 145 per cent, suggesting that many of us are in need of a little R&R. Add to that the increase in searches for “bath in bedroom freestanding” and we’d say tubs will be all the rage in 2021 – much like this copper beauty featured on the latest season of Brother vs. Brother.
