When he wasn’t making music onstage or in his state-of-the-art studio at the Minneapolis compound known as Paisley Park, Prince was fond of kicking back at his luxurious beachfront retreat in Turks and Caicos. Following the Purple Rain rocker’s 2016 death, this one-of-a-kind property will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
Purple Driveway
Prince purchased this Caribbean paradise on Turks and Caicos back in 2010, paying a reported $12 million. In addition to the main building, there are numerous other structures – and, in what’s clearly a nod to his favourite colour, the long, winding driveway has been painted bright purple. A guard house is located near the front entrance.

Turtle Tail
Prince also purchased the surrounding parcels of land, resulting in a totally private peninsula called Turtle Tail, sprawling across more than five acres in Providenciales, on the island’s south shore.
Built High
The estate was built with maximum privacy in mind, and is perched 40 feet above sea level.
Privacy Assured
Two private beaches, a private 200-foot dock and tennis court are some of the many amenities found outside the home.
Pristine Beaches
The property has its own private white sand beach – just marvel at that clear azure-blue water.
Large and Roomy
With six bedrooms and six-and-a-half baths, the winning bidder won’t be running out of space anytime soon.
After the death of rocker Tom Petty, his stunning Malibu lakefront estate went on the market for $5.9 million.
Amenities
Inside, amenities include a gym, media room and home theatre.
Panoramic Views
The panoramic ocean views are nothing short of breathtaking.
Mediterranean Style
The Mediterranean-style home has a red tile roof and pale stucco façade.
Luxury and Seclusion
Currently owned by Prince’s estate, the firm auctioning off the property describes the home as “a rare opportunity to surround yourself with natural beauty, combined with luxury and seclusion.”
Up for Auction
The property has reportedly been on the market for more than a year at an asking price of $16 million with no takers, so instead it’s heading to auction.

Interest Anticipated
“How do you value a masterpiece like the Mona Lisa?” Todd Wohl, founder of Premiere Estates Auction Company, said in a statement. “The value is ultimately determined by the market – with a unique property like Prince’s Turks and Caicos estate, we anticipate significant interest and multiple bidders.”
Come and Visit
Prospective buyers are invited to jet down to the island for a private tour – Wohl says he’ll even pick you up at the airport!
Grand Entrance
The front of the home features glass doors opening to the foyer and the great room beyond.
Indoor-Outdoor
Classic wood shutter-style doors open to allow the indoor space to flow seamlessly to the outdoors while letting the gentle tropical breeze flow through the home.
Great Room
The great room features sliding glass doors opening to the lush outdoor spaces.
Island Paradise
“This sprawling island paradise is perfect for a luxurious retreat with a one-of-a-kind former owner,” added Todd Wohl of Premiere Estates.
Glorious Vista
Prince reportedly loved spending time at his island paradise, taking in the spectacular ocean view.
Traditional Style
While the purple driveway is certainly indicative of the late musician’s iconoclastic style, the rest of the home is remarkably traditional, hewing to the Caribbean style.
R&R
This stone-floored recreation room features a wet bar and shuttered accordion-style wooden doors that open to the sun deck.
Lush Vegetation
The property is surrounded by lush vegetation, with an array of walking paths and areas of interest throughout.
Outdoor Spaces
In addition to 10,000 square feet of indoor living area, the estate also features an array of outdoor spaces to capitalize on the natural beauty of this gorgeous Caribbean island.
It’ll Cost You…
While there’s no opening bid, prospective bidders need to put down a deposit of $100,000 in order to get in on the action when the auction takes place on July 12, 2018.
