In this English countryside kitchen, we merged the old with the new. The second-hand cabinets were found online, but we breathed new life into them by painting them in a creamy, putty tone to introduce some richness and warmth. With leftover cabinets to spare, we installed them on either side of the banquette and tufted the bench seat with a pretty toile fabric that speaks to the Nikki’s English heritage. With the addition of some inherited family heirlooms, their kitchen has both character and all of the high-end new features you could possibly want! Add in textured quartz counters, bead-board, an arabesque backsplash with clay tile inlay, new stainless steel appliances, an apron sink and a mobile island, and this charming kitchen is perfectly poised.
