It’s been a big week for Samsung: during this year’s virtual CES 2021 event, the global tech giant unveiled a handful of their latest innovative technologies designed to elevate all that time you’ve spent at home lately – especially in the kitchen. So, grab your aprons, chefs, because you’re going to want to snap up these clever appliances.
Generating the most buzz was the Bespoke refrigerator – a fully-customizable appliance that allows you to pick and choose between various types, materials and colours (with fun names like Satin Coral and Glam Pink). Over time, you can reassemble and move around the fridge to suit any living situation. It also features a Beverage Center™, a water dispenser with an automatically-filled pitcher and a Dual Auto Ice Maker.

Bonus: The Bespoke refrigerator can equip the Family Hub™ smart tech that acts as a meal planner, oven remote control and TV. Smartphone users will appreciate the customizable screen and ability to control anything happening in your home, from light switches to messages from family. After the year we’ve all had, it’d be nice to have a little control over things – even if only in the comfort of our kitchens, right?

Blossoming chefs will also appreciate the SmartThings Cooking service as a quick and seamless way to find creative new recipes curated to suit your culinary tastes and dietary restrictions. So, what exactly does it do? The service can unify your Samsung kitchen appliances together for seamless meal prep that enables you to search and plan weekly meals via the SmartThings app on your Family Hub or smartphone.
“With more Canadians spending time at home, the kitchen has become central for families as they look for smarter cooking and streamlined meal planning,” said Pat Bugos, Vice President, Consumer Electronics, Samsung Canada in a recent press release. “SmartThings Cooking seamlessly turns your kitchen into a one-stop shop for an improved culinary experience, inspiring consumers who are cooking and experimenting in the kitchen like never before.”
