Entryway Storage
One of the spaces in any home that should be properly equipped with storage is the entryway. Especially in my home, the entryway is a space where my family kicks off their shoes and hangs their jackets. This can often lead to a cluttered and unorganized mess. Making sure that you have the appropriate storage for your mudroom or entryway is the first step in keeping things organized. Have hangers for coats, a spot for all the shoes and an organizer that will keep all things such as keys, sunglasses and other miscellaneous items in their rightful place.

Multipurpose Furniture
Having multipurpose furniture that can double as storage is beneficial for any home, especially for smaller spaces. Nothing makes the space feel larger and more organized than when you have storage that goes unseen by others. Items such as vanities, ottomans and coffee tables can work as a place to put things.
Declutter
Decluttering is step one to organizing any space. It is important to take time to evaluate your possessions and let go of the things that may no longer serve a purpose in your home. In doing so, this will eliminate any clutter and will leave you feeling refreshed and organized.

Everything Has a Place
When everything has its own place, there is no need for clutter or disorganization. By organizing spaces such as drawers in the kitchen, wall units in the family room or benches in the mudroom, everyone in the family will know exactly what lives where.

Drawer Organizers
A space that can get quite disorganized is the kitchen drawers. I often suggest investing in some kind of drawer organizer that can ensure there is a home for every pot and pan and every fork or knife. Not only do these maximize drawer space, but they will ensure that you can find whatever you’re looking for when you need it.

Open Shelving
Whether it’s the bathroom or the kitchen, open shelving allows for an organized spot for storage. It prompts cleanliness and organization as it’s open and out there for everyone to see. Added bonus: open shelving often helps a space look larger than it really is.
Built-In Storage
Built-in storage can help maximize space in any room as it adds space for your belongings, without taking away from the size of the room. Whether it’s built-in custom cabinetry or a built-in media unit, these are large spaces to help keep belongings organized.
Closet Organizer
Something as simple as a closet organizer can provide a spot for every article of clothing you own. Look for a closet organizer that allows hanging room, drawer space, as well as shelving. This can ensure that your clothes are neatly hung, while also providing space for shoes, folded pants and other loose articles of clothing. Waking up to a clean and organized closet can help boost productivity and clarity throughout your day.
