We’re talking about the HGTV family, of course. Drew Slides Into a Cool 70’s Groove
Not everyone can pull off a mint green suit paired with a pink shirt but Drew Scott sure can! This Property Brother was quite aware of the pressure that comes with tackling a renovation like the Brady property but Drew kept his cool. When it came to giving the front of the home, the entryway, and the living room those iconic touches, he was definitely up to the task. “The actual Brady cast is going to be here looking over our shoulders,” he told HGTV. “They’re going to be here to see everything so we want to make sure it’s authentic.”
Jonathan Drew With a Marsha Brady-Sized Nose Injury
Ouch! That’s gotta hurt. Jonathan Scott of Canada’s Property Brothers took one on the nose for team Brady. Jonathan sustained this TV-style injury While horsing around with his A Very Brady Renovation cast mates while spoofing Marcia Brady’s infamous nose injury scene from the original TV show. Don’t worry though, it’s all make up.
Karen E. Laine Hangin’ With the Brady Ladies
We didn’t think Karen (in the gorgeous seafoam gown) could love anything more than those adorable chickens of hers, but as it turns out she’s a Brady super-fan. According to HGTV’s senior vice-president Loren Ruch, the Good Bones star actually campaigned to be on the series. “We wanted to go for the biggest Brady fans [and] the minute she heard we bought the house – she’s OBSESSED with The Brady Bunch – she reached out to us and asked if they could be a part of it,” Ruch told Decider.

Mina Starsiak’s Trendy 70’s Look
Mina (seated tot he left of Leanne Ford) seconds her mom’s fandom, and understands Brady’s universal appeal. “I know how important and iconic and huge this is,” she told PopCulture. “I obviously didn’t watch it growing up. But mom watched it as a kid when the episodes aired, and just hearing her talk about it – like, this was her family.” Knowing that, we can only imagine the sheer excitement when Mina and Karen met up with Mike Lookinland to help construct the second-floor hallway and the landing leading to the boys’ room.
Leanne’s monochromatic style
We all know and love Leanne for her inimitable white-on-white style, a designing touch that adds a timeless flair to any and all properties she touches. The Diane Keaton lookalike is sure to bring those influences to her property, adding lasting value for years to come.
“I believe in white paint, a lot. It’s such a powerful tool,” she says. “It’s easy, it’s simple, and it is timeless. If there’s a way to not have a trend, you can’t tell what year it was built and fixed [with] white paint. I mean, you can look at pictures from 100 years ago-which are in black and white, so it works out-and they’re beautiful.”
Steve Ford Looking Far Out!
Steve Ford, pictured here in a groovy fringed suede jacket, wasn’t the only Ford feeling a bit star-struck to be working on the series. “I grew up watching that show and learning from that show and just wanting to be one of those characters,” Steve told HGTV. Well now, thanks to all those hours spent helping others achieve their dream homes, it looks like Steve’s own dream is finally coming true. Groovy man!
Lara Spencer
This Flea Market Flip (hitting DIY Network Canada with a new season Sept. 3 at 9/9:30 and 10/10:30 p.m. ET) host has had some pretty cool assignments over the years, but working with Christopher Knight and some of the other cast members to restore Greg’s attic and Alice’s room was definitely up there. “Here’s the story… of an amazing assignment,” she shared on Instagram with the hashtag, #Pinchmemoment. Pinch us too, because we can’t wait to see how this all goes down.
