Former Law & Order: SVU star Chris Meloni is listing an iconic Hollywood pad – the TV (and real-life home) of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson (from the ’50s and ’60s sitcom The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet). Meloni is asking $6.5 million for the 5,300-square-foot home – which, is rumoured to be haunted!

Known as the “Ozzie and Harriet Estate,” the listing for this five-bedroom, 5,283-square-foot Hollywood home details that the house once belonged to Ozzie and Harriet Nelson – and was also used for the exterior of the couple’s iconic TV sitcom The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.

Christopher Meloni
According to Variety, former Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Christopher Meloni purchased the iconic Hollywood home in 2014 for a reported $5.25 million. Five years later, he’s asking $6.495 million.

Described as a “traditional” style house, the home was originally built in 1916. “One of Hollywood’s most beloved homes has undergone an significant high quality restoration to the best of today’s standards while retaining the original charm,” notes the listing.

According to the Los Angeles Times, prior to Meloni buying the house, it had been bought and sold three times – each seller subsequently believed the home was haunted.
Ghostly Encounters
According to the Times, “Ozzie Nelson’s model train, which runs on a track near the ceiling in the pub room and has been passed down from owner to owner, sometimes starts running in the middle of the night.” Other examples of paranormal activity include locked doors that mysteriously unlock and open, covers that fly off people while sleeping and the smell of a rose-scented perfume that wafts through rooms without explanation. “I would always make a disclosure that there was a legend that the house was haunted,” realtor Billy Rose told the Times.
